He is survived by: his wife Cora Odomes Walker; his sons, Welton Jr. and William Walker (Chantel); his mother Mable Marie Walker; his siblings, Ernest Smith (Bernadette), Wallace Smith (Mona), Diane Walker, Barbara James and Yvonne Coleman (Bernard); and his godmother Edna Winslow. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
