He was predeceased by: his parents, Murrin Melancon and Florence Blanchard Collins. He is survived by: his children, Emily Robert (Joshua) and Batman Melancon; his grandchildren, Kai Mathew Melancon, Alexa Marie Robert, Caitlin Rita Robert and Jaxon Joseph Melancon; and his uncle Floyd "Tardy" Melancon.
