He was predeceased by: his parents, Ivory Celestin and Albert Trahan; his siblings, Alma, Ernest Trahan, Curvin, Beverly, Barbara Celestin, Joyce Ann Johnson and David Johnson, Jr.; his grandparents, Clenzy and Ellen Watson Celestin; and his in-laws, Maydel H. Batiste, Ernest Batiste, Jr. (Juanita), Lionel Batiste, Clarence Daggs, Sr., Ulysses Lagarde, Shirley R. Batiste and Joyce Batiste-Streams.
He is survived by: his children, Dana Andre' and Brandon Todd; his wife Barbara Batiste Trahan; his children, Zanetta Trahan and Kendra Trahan; his grandchildren, Elizabeth Danielle Trahan, Braydon Parker and Brenton Konner Trahan; his aunt Yvonne Celestin; his siblings, Mary Celestin, Rosa Lee Johnson, Carrie Carter, Alton, Carl and Clarence Celestin; his siblings-in-law, Gloria B. Daggs, Linda B. Simmons, Ora Lagarde, Charles (Leslie), Alvin (Linda) and Dr. Donaldo R. Batiste; and his godson James Ellis, Jr.. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 4th 2024 from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM at the Blaine C. Clay Lodge #14. A masonic service was held on Thursday, January 4th 2024 at 9:30 AM at the same location.
