He was predeceased by: his wife Carolyn B. Rivere; his son Derrick D. Rivere; his parents, Hazel Cavalier and Harry Rivere; and his niece Vernita M. Rivere.
He is survived by: his children, Renee R. King (Benny Portier) and Kenneth J. Rivere, Jr. (Lydia); his grandchildren, Victoria, Taylor, Nathan, Kenneth III (Sheena Henry), Jared (Kim), Kayla (Brinton Barnes) and Heaven Rivere (Trey Derocher); his great grandchildren, Regan, Allie, Lincoln, Delilah, Brinton, Jr. and Lexi; and his brother Dennis P. Rivere (Christine Leonard). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
