It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Songe of Gray, Louisiana, born in Houma, Louisiana, who passed away on April 24, 2021, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his former life partner Carrin Ann Bergeron Songe; his parents, Albert Joseph Jr. and Ruth Marie Duplantis Songe; his son Charles Arthur Songe, Jr.; and his daughter-in-law Michelle Janes Songe.
He is survived by : his children, Cory Jason Songe (Tanya Ayzine), Carrie Frances Songe Albert and Cathy Marie Songe Crochet (Gerald "Jerry" J.); his fiancée Barbara Jane Boudreaux; his siblings, Albert Joseph Songe, III and Sheila Marie Songe Chauvin (Jules Chauvin, Sr.); his grandchildren, Deven Joseph Albert (Jenny Walker Albert), Anthony Joseph Crochet, Brodie Matthew Rink and Ella Grace Rink; and his great grandchildren, Hailey Claire Albert and Dexter Joseph Albert.
