She was predeceased by: her children, Tori Matthews and Christian Matthews; and her parents, John Adams and Daisy Brown Adams. She is survived by: her husband Joseph Simmons; her son Corey Matthews; and her brothers, John Davis Adams (Viola) and Charles Adams (Linda). She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; six great grandchildren; two godchildren.
