She was loved and cherished by many people including : her children, Ezekiel Mitchell of Gibson, LA, David Mitchell, Sr., Jerry Mitchell of Bayou Black, Della Toussaint (Isaiah) of Houma, LA, Deloris Phillips (Donald) of Houma, LA, Dequincey Richardson of Amelia, LA, Viola Jones, Jr. (Alex) of Houma, LA, Gloria Jenkins of Morgan City, LA and Isabella Smith (William) of Gray, LA.; her sister-in-law Dollie Short; her husband Jim Mitchell, Sr.; her parents, Warmouth Short, Sr. and Bertha Calloway Short; her siblings, Warmouth Short, Jr., Herbert, Robert, Cleveland, William, Norris Short, Ruth Short Singleton, Deloris Short Smith and Virgina Short Singleton; her grandparents, Frank Calloway, Mariah Owens Calloway, Mose Short and Susuan White Short; and her children, Emmanuel, Floyd, Warren, Alvin, Jim Mitchell, Jr., Eola Johnson and Corrine Walker. She was also cherished by 33 grandchildren, 63 great grandchildren and 12 great-great grandchildren.
