He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorcelie Esponge Sr. and Henrietta Galliano Esponge; and his sibling Dorcelie Esponge Jr. Proud. He is survived by: his wife Nellie Ruth "Nell" Gunnels Esponge; his sons, William James Esponge (Vicki) and Steven Wayne Esponge (Kathy); his brother Norris J. Esponge Sr. (Shirley); his grandchildren, William Gregory Esponge (Angela) and Kristina Esponge Terry (Michael); and his great grandchildren, Kennedy Terry, Mason Terry, Kingston Terry and Maverick Terry. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
