He was predeceased by: his wife Linda Lafont; his parents, Eustache Lafont (E. J.) and Pearl Santiny Lafont; his daughters, Danette Callahan and Peggy Chighizola; and his sisters, Vanessa Lafont and Victoria Lafont.
He is survived by: his children, Lyle Lafont (Tracy), Larry Lafont (Rhonda), Venisa Lafont, Michelle Santiny, Dana Besson, Misty Cheramie (Kelly) and Jena Lafont; and his siblings, Jay Lafont, Claude Lafont, Darleen Brewer (Lawrence), Kathy Hebert (Dallas) and Connie Tillery. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Community Church (129 Cedar Ln, Grand Isle, LA 70358). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 24th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Monday, February 24th 2025 from 1:15 PM to 1:30 PM at the Our Lady of the Isle Catholic Cemetery Cemetery (195 Ludwig Ln, Grand Isle, LA 70358).
