He is survived by: his siblings, John Vincent Chevis (Natasha) of Odessa, Texas, Mary Monella Chevis (Darrell Williams) of Grand Coteau, Alice Lewis (Christopher) of Sunset, Paula Chevis of Grand Coteau, Mona Chevis of Grand Coteau and Vanessa Chevis (Russell Wheeler) of Grand Coteau; his godchildren, Ben Chevis (Kimberly) of Grand Coteau and Janiah Lazare of Opelousas; and his close friend Nelson Pitre. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.
