He was predeceased by: his parents, Lazaire Thibodeaux and Agnes Stemmanns; his siblings, Sister Mary Vianney, Lawrence "Bud" Thibodeaux (Evelyn McKigne), Andrew Thibodeaux (Mary Daigle Robin), Therese "Tess" Darbonne (A. E.) of Lazare and Lucy Iskra (Joseph); his sister-in-law Joyce Fontenot; and his nieces, Rita Darbonne and Stephanie Guidry.
He is survived by: his brothers, Francis Thibodaux and Ray Michel Thibodeaux (Thelma "Cookie" Broussard); and his sister-in-law Arine Leger Thibodeaux. He is also survived by nieces and nephews and numerous great nieces and nephews.
