He was predeceased by: his parents, A. H. "Sono" Crain and Ella Mae Jones Crain; and his brother Malcolm Lyle "Butch" Crain. He is survived by: his wife Madeleine St; his children, Randalin Crain, Rosalind Crain LeCompte and Duncan Russell Crain (Tammy Augustine Crain); his grandchildren, Samantha Williams Johnson, Jebediah Eugene Williams, Callie Tate Crain and Wasey Duncan Crain; and his sister Coral Lee Crain Byrd (Richard).
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that one should make a donation to a charity of their choice.
