She was predeceased by: her parents, Elex Pierre, Sr. and Fabiola Crowley Pierre; her husband Glenn Melancon Sr.; and her siblings, Marion Williams (Lionel), Deloris Jeffery (Stanford), Rosemary, Alex Jr. (Marilyn) and Richard Pierre.
She is survived by: her children, Shona (Ryan), Glenn Jr. (Lindsey) and Grent Melancon, Sr. (Briana); her grandchildren, Tyler, Taylon Lumar, Ky'ren, Ka'laia, Gia and Grent Melancon, Jr.; her siblings, Joyce Morton (Edmond, Sr.), Rev. Douglas (Wanda), Bernard, Michael, Kathleen (Hamilton) and Jerome Pierre; and her siblings-in-law, Wanda Pierre, Florence Roussell, Larry (Linda), Steve (Debra), Josephine, Rita, Verlyn Melancon and Curtis Castle.
