It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shanda Carter (Gramercy, Louisiana), born in New Orleans, Louisiana, who passed away on July 26, 2021, at the age of 63, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Una Mae Cambre and Wilfred Simon, Sr.; her husband Ronald D. Carter; her brother Wilfred "Mega" Simon Jr.; her nephew Matthew Simon; and her grandson Rondell Carter, Jr..
She is survived by: her sister April Conrad; her children, Kevin White (Dominique), Kieem White, Marcald Simon, Sr. (Deonegra), Kyron Simon, Rondell Carter and RoShawn Carter; her grandchildren, Quiarra, Kevin Jr., Kevianna, Kaldon, Khyheem, Khijay, Marcald Jr., Deleah, Rondez and Royale; her great grandchild Khadance; her siblings, April Simon, Conrad Simon (Debbie), Cyril Simon and Kevin Rivers (Cookie); her nieces and nephews, Madison, McKenzie, Taylon, Tray and Nathaniel; and her close friend Rosemary Smith.
