It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Neomia Young (Gramercy, Louisiana), born in Saint James, Louisiana, who passed away on January 13, 2020, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Warren and Francis Plant Meggs, Sr.; her siblings, Patricia Meggs Roberts, Berniece Meggs Whittington, Warren, Jr. and Albert Meggs; her nephew Anthony Reginald Whittington; and her nieces, Shanell Adell Meggs, Trina Michelle Dorris and Tracy Roberts-Baker.
She is survived by: her siblings, Aldonia Johnson (Robert), Almatine Zenon, Judy Cambre (Wilton), Elwin, Michael (Alberta), Donald and Dwight Meggs; and her goddaughter Lynette Brooks Ferrell. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, family and friends.
