It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mavis Prestley (Gramercy, Louisiana), born in Donaldsonville, Louisiana, who passed away on December 17, 2020, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Scioneaux and Felonise Mayo Scioneaux; her brother Donald Scioneaux; and her grandparents, Joseph Scioneaux, Sr., Abbie Jones, Romalice Mayho and Octavia Wright.
She is survived by: her children, McKellia Dawson (Marvin) of Wichita, KS, Mendell Prestley of St. James, LA, McKita Howard (Keldrich) of Prairieville, LA and Malana Johnson (Brandon) of Baton Rouge, LA; her grandchildren, Asia, Aubree Dawson, Reshawn, Reality, Reshad Moody, Mendell Prestley, Jr., Mason Ester and Maci Green; her great grandchild Ace Moody; her siblings, Kalvin Scioneaux, Joanne Jasmin, Debbie Steib (Tyrone), Kenneth Scioneaux and Susan Scioneaux; her sister-in-law Judy Scioneaux; her aunts, Gladys Joseph and Josephine Scioneaux; and her uncle Lewis Scioneaux. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
