It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lucus McGuffy (Gramercy, Louisiana), who passed away on September 13, 2020, at the age of 55, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lizzie Robertson McGuffy and Lawrence Sr. McGuffy; his grandparents, Eddie, Lizzie Robertson, George and Carrie McGuffy, Sr.; his grandchild Cartel Davis; his aunt Otha Mae McGuffy; and his uncles, Willie, Wilbert Brown, George, Hubert McGuffy and Eddie Robertson.
He is survived by: his wife Latasha McGuffy; his children, Lukeisha, Lucus Jr. and Aaliyah McCuffy; his stepchildren, Africa and Dionte Davis; his grandchildren, Ahmad Davis, Carter Davis and Ahvant Fredricks; his siblings, Lawrence McGuffy, Jr., Loren McGuffy (Wanda), Leonard McGuffy, Sr., Leslie Knight (Gerald), Larissa Scott (Edward), Leedell McGuffy (Kizzy) and Ann Marie Craighead (Romalash); his parents-in-law, Sammy, Sr. and Regina Johnson-Gray; his siblings-in-law, Sammie Gray, III, Yolanda Gray, Antoinette M. Gray and Elvira M Gray; his aunts, Lillie Mae Taylor, Aldonia Smith, Augustine and Alice Robertson; his uncle Jimmy Robertson (Mary); his godchildren, Shondrika Isom Brown, Dehshondra Robertson and A'mari Craighead; and his cousin Pamela Gibson. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
