He was predeceased by: his parents, Tampy Whittington Mitchell and Henry Mitchell Sr.; his sisters, Lolita Scioneaux and Cheryl Honoré; and his mother-in-law Alice Isom Steib.
He is survived by: his wife Ramona Mitchell of Vacherie, LA.; his children, Karl Jr., Phillip (Sommer) and Kristen Mitchell; his siblings, Henry Mitchell Jr. (Laura), Helen Aubert, Mable Hill (Leroy), Mary Simmons (Carl), Kathleen Frazier and Sue Won Narcisse (Hilton); and his brothers-in-law, Edward Scioneaux and Willie Honoré. He is also survived by five Godchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
