He is survived by: his daughter Sheretta Batiste; his wife Brenda Batiste; his son Kendall Vedol (Carmita); his siblings, Betty Celestine, Albert Smith (Yvonne), Sterling Smith (Dianne), Raymond Batiste (Cleo) and Jerome Batiste; his grandchildren, Kaye, Asia, Kailah, Khylan, Kendall Vedol Jr., J'Kae, Jeremy Geason, Jalon Joseph, Kiara Batiste, Mya Champagne and Jeremy Jupiter; his great grandchild Kendall Vedol; his godchildren, Durell Morris and Dana Lemar; his siblings-in-law, Donald Thomas, Debra Smith, Laura Aly, Gloria Stockman (Joseph), Dolores Treaudo, Dorothy Johnson, Beverly Williams and Kwadwo Titania Dennis; and his friends, Huey Oubre and Edward Williams. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
