He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Dumas, Sr. and Gladys Ambrose Dumas; his stepmother Leola A. Dumas; his sisters, Elizabeth and Pearl Dumas; and his brother-in-law Leroy Raphael.
He is survived by: his nephew Charles Armant, Jr.; his sisters, Marvel D. Raphael and Gilda D. Jefferson (Evone) of Vacherie; his stepbrother Darrel Dumas (Georgia) of Atlanta; his godson Quentin Dear of Mansfield, Texas.; and his aunts, Marion A. Luke, Gladys O. Ambrose, Gracie S. Dumas and Mary R. Dumas. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
