He was predeceased by: his wife Janette LaGrange; his parents, Genevia LaGrange (Early Johnson) and Edward LaGrange; his siblings, Charles LaGrange, Sr. and Olivia Macon; his grandson Kai LaGrange, Jr.; and his sisters-in-law, Rita Barre and Natalie Miller.
He is survived by: his children, Dana Herbert, Herbert LaGrange, Treneice Sorapuru (Fabian) and Kai LaGrange (Kiedra); his in-laws, Cora Lee Songy (late Alfred), Melvin Bovie (Charity), Oscar Bovie (Sandra), Elizabeth Johnson (late Terry) and Gene Bovie; and his niece Cheryl Smith (Art). He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren.
