He is survived by: his wife Rita Melancon; and his children, Cornelius Melancon (Jennifer), Shonnette Whittington Sr. (Chris), Clinton Melancon Jr. (Shardae), Juanques Melancon, Romell Howard Sr., Initius Howard (Iman) and Tahajenik Melancon. He is also survived by 7 grandsons and 6 granddaughters, and host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
