He was predeceased by: his wife Linda Jasmine Samuel; his parents, Steve Samuel and Artemese Foucher Jacob (Wilbert); his siblings, Betty Samuel, Brenda Hebert and Stafford Jacob (Zeke); and his siblings-in-law, Enola Allen (Johnny), Orelia Wright (John), Janice Lumar (Alex), Cynthia Tompkins, Laverne Jack, Celestine, Judy Jasmine, Marion Feist, Joslyn Gastreal (Anthony), Claudell Herbert and Antoine Jasmine.
He is survived by: his children, Charles Samuel (Kimberly D.) and Racquel Bruce (Keith); his grandchildren, Kimmeka Stoner, Kierra, Charles Samuel II and Erris Bruce; his great grandchild Nassir Johnson; his siblings-in-law, Shirley Thomas (Shirley), Myrtle Walker, Madeline Jasmine Bourgeois (Eric), Alton, Nathaniel Jasmine (Lichelle), Russell Jack Sr. and Frazier Tompkins; and his goddaughter Donna Lynn Pierre. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins.
