With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Douglas Taylor Porter (Grambling, Louisiana), born in Fayetteville, Tennessee, who passed away on June 5, 2024 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Waudell Phillip and Sophia Mae Porter (Taylor); and his wife Dr. Wilma Jean Porter. He is survived by : his children, Daria Porter of Baltimore, Blanche Evette Porter of Minneapolis and Douglas; his daughter-in-law Sheila of Dallas; and his grandchildren, Daevon, Alexis, Gabrielle and Douglas. He is also survived by extended family and friends.

A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, June 15th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Benedict's Catholic Church (471 Main St, Grambling, LA 71245).
