He is survived by: his spouses, Beverly Joffrion Mayhall and Barbara Jean Mayhall of Castalia, NC; his children, Louis Gregory Mayhall (Gwen) of Big Cane, Eddie Mayhall (Amy) of Evergreen and Pam Mayhall Smith (Jamie) of Basile; his sister Carolyn Mayhall Simms (Pat) of Pineville; and his stepchildren, Frankie Steed (Melody) of North Carolina, Harlen Steed (Lisa) of North Carolina and Tonja Philbeck (Tray) of North Carolina. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and seven step-grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren and two step-great grandchildren.
