It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wade Johnson of Gonzales, Louisiana, born in Elmore, Alabama, who passed away on September 6, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Johnson and Alberta Johnson (Wilson); and his brother-in-law Bill Nelson. He is survived by: his sister Loreda Nelson of Marbury, AL; his children, Brent Johnson (Alice) of Houston, TX, Kyle Johnson (Angela) of Plano, TX and Jana Johnson O'Banion (Joe) of Gonzales, LA; his grandchildren, Carlton Johnson (Rose) of Temple, TX, Cameron Johnson of Los Angeles, CA, Caitlin O'Banion Womack (Craig) of Birmingham, AL, Sydney O'Banion Patton (Todd) of Central, LA and Alicia Pickens (Chris) of Oakwood, TX; and his great grandchildren, Kennedy, Keegan Johnson, Jace Cottrell, Jo-Jo, Lawson, Memphis and Lincoln Pickens. He is also survived by his wife of over 66 years, the love of his life.
