She was predeceased by: her birth mother Betty Prejean; her foster parents, Leeroy Remondet and Patricia Remondet; her sisters, Barbara Gros and BettyAnn Champagne; her daughter Rachel Bourgeois; and her grandson Devin Cambre.
She is survived by: her children, Kristy Bourgeois (Nick Gaudet), Vince Bourgeois Jr., John Bourgeois and Melvin Picolo (Savannah Lilies); her grandchildren, Kaden, Khiler Cooper, Isabella, Tierney, Noah Gaudet and Zaylan Lilies; her siblings, Margaret Chenevert, Faye Chenevert, Anna Mae Chenevert, Linda Ponvelle, Donald Chenevert and Louis Remondet; and her former husband Vince Bourgeois Sr.. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and extended family.
The last couple years she was challenged by health issues related to liver disease & Covid, which brought her to a much too early departure from her loved ones.
