She was predeceased by: her sisters, Janice Barnes and Baby Melancon; and her nephew Bradley Melancon. She is survived by: her daughter Dusty Acosta Templet (Keith); her siblings, Deanna Berthelot (Glenn), Kent Melancon (Kim), Gary Melancon (Lori), Shane Melancon (Tammy) and Scott Barnes (Ashley); and her godmother Bobbie Jane Sevario. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
