With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Margaret Gautreau of Gonzales, Louisiana, born in Brittany, Louisiana, who passed away on October 21, 2024 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Milton "Joe" Hodgeson and Camelia Elizabeth'Liz'Sevario Hodgeson; and her son Gerald Paul Gautreau. She is survived by: her husband Burris "Tunny" Gautreau, Jr.; her children, Michael "Chan" Gautreau (Susan), Tira LeBlanc, Dami Minvielle (Kirk) and Rhett Gautreau (Chelette); her grandchildren, Ryan LeBlanc (Patty), Jen Fox, Dane LeBlanc, Chance LeBlanc, Kalen Minvielle (Lindsey), Brennan Minvielle (Kaitlyn), Micah Gautreau (Sydnee), Dillon Gautreau, Hannah Gautreau and Grant Gautreau; her great grandchildren, Lance LeBlanc (Daniela), Sophie LeBlanc, Addison, Ellie, Mason Minvielle, Noah, Ruth Minvielle, Mattie, Baker Gautreau and Zia Fox; her siblings, Joann Marchand, John Hodgeson (Sherry) and Roger Hodgeson (Judy); and her siblings-in-law, Lou King, LeeAnn Judice (Harold) and Maurice "Poodle" Gautreau (Sherrie). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital which was instrumental in saving the life of her great-granddaughter, Sophie.
