He is survived by: his wife Mable Beauchamp of Gonzales, LA; his son Wilbert Brooks (Ada) of Baton Rouge, LA; his daughter-in-law Rosemary Talbert of Baton Rouge, LA; his grandchildren, Eddie Talbert, John Talbert Jr. (Josephine), Willie Johnese III (Carmen), William Talbert (Nechelle), Kenya Raby (Trevis), Keshia Brooks and Leslia Brooks (Ronnie); and his stepchildren, Donald James Sr. (Marva), Johnny Johnson (Courtney), Ruby Brown (Clarence), Janell Braxton (Mark), Rethia Johnson (Arthur), Lorraine Davis (Frederick), Hazel Abram (Bill), Tasheka Dukes (Everett), Naikesha James, Johnnie Weams (Tyrone) and LaToya Jackson (Quincy). He is also survived by 18 great grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild, step-grandchildren, step great-grandchildren and step great-great-grandchildren.
