It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph Patrick Amedee of Gonzales, Louisiana, born in Saint James, Louisiana, who passed away on April 24, 2021, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Semar Amedee and Verna Bye Amedee; and his siblings, Manuel Amedee and Betty Zeringue. He is survived by: his wife Hilda Landry Amedee; his children, Stephan Amedee (Karen) and Kathy Cedotal (Barney); his grandchildren, Stephanie Couch (Ben), Brandi Cedotal and Brandon Cedotal; his great grandchildren, Reid Couch, Oliver Cedotal and Cayden Gonzalez; and his sisters-in-law, Claire Amedee and Sylvia Tregre. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
