It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edmond Vicknair (Gonzales, Louisiana), born in Maurepas, Louisiana, who passed away on June 26, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Lelia R. Vicknair and Edmond N. Vicknair; his brothers, Alton J. Vicknair and Charles J. Vicknair; and his former wife Mary Ellen Avants.

He is survived by: his children, Karen V. Duplessis (Gary) and Kenneth J. Vicknair; his grandchildren, Lakin and Peyton Duplessis; his siblings, Shirley Vicknair, Myrtle Jennings and Mervyn Vicknair; and his friend Robert Boudreaux. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
