He was predeceased by: his parents, Germain "Man" and Leona Bourque; his son Charles Michael Bourque; and his grandsons, Brennan McCool and Jay Bourque.

He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Johnson Bourque; his children, Gerrilyn McCool, Jeff Bourque (Sheila), Bruce Bourque (Tammi) and Nathan Bourque (Suzanne); his grandchildren, David Carmouche, Tim Carmouche, Jackie McCool, Jared Bourque, Josh Fontenot, Kalli Holston, Nathan M. Bourque and Grant Bourque; his great grandchildren, Lily Bourque, Cailyn Carmouche, Brooklyn Carmouche, Baylee Fontenot, Brennan Fontenot, Cayden Holston, Finley Bourque, River Bourque and Kinsley Holston; and his brothers, Kenneth Bourque, Kermit "Hart" Bourque and Conrad Bourque.
