She was predeceased by: her husband Willie; her son Thaddaeus Pinell; her parents, Severia Sr. Raven and Ethel Raven; her grandfathers, Arthur Valentine Sr. (Ama Gray) and Howard Raven Sr. (Maude Nabors); and her parents-in-law, Allen and Leola Shelvin (Moton).
She is survived by: her close friend Willie Shelvin; her children, Willie R. Shelvin of Gonzales, LA, Steven R. Pinell [Shonda] of Fate, TX, Michael D. Pinell of Baton Rouge, LA and Stephanie N. Pinell of Gonzales, LA; her brothers, Severia Jr. [Gloria] of Gonzales, LA, Seth K. Sr. [Paula] of Prairieville, LA and Cherlynn P. Turner (Alvin Jr.); her grandchildren, Destiney, Railyn, Faith, Kyleigh, Karson, Kenadee, Detrick [Alexander], Edward, Jermiah Deshazier and Darius Jr.; her great grandchildren, Aydon, Kynslee and Kota; her aunts, Ella Rose Williams of Humble, TX and Elmire Raven of Mt. Pleasant, SC; and her daughter Shelita L. Jackson. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and a dedicated friend.
