He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred William and Rosie Louisa Gourdon (Whatley); his wife Eva Marie Gourdon; his son Richard Brown; his grandsons, Christopher Monroe and Erve Monroe, Jr.; his siblings, Paul Gourdon, Andrew Gourdon, Bernadine Brown and Ellison Gourdon; and his nephew Billy Joe Gourdon.
He is survived by: his children, Anthony Brown of Goldonna, Jesse Gourdon of Goldonna, Elizabeth Monroe of Milton, WA and Jackie Stewart of Goldonna. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
