We bid farewell to Odelia Castro of Goldonna, Louisiana, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 19, 2025 at the age of 81. Odelia touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Israel Joe Garza and Maria Estella Garcia Garza; her former husband Eddie Cavazos; her siblings, Joe Garza, Jr., Antonia, Sophia and May Garza; and her son-in-law Billy Boyer.
She is survived by: her husband Juan Castro of Goldonna, LA; her children, Edna Banta (Gary), Elda Boyer, Elma Cavazos and Larry Cavazos (Wendy); her grandchildren, Lee, Dusty Cavazos, Angel Nugent (Scott), Katie Stewart (Savanna), Billy Earl Martin and Victoria Davis; and her great grandchildren, Avery Cook, Kaylyn, Dalton, Tayson Nugent, Drake, Ashtyn Cavazos, Draven Hilliard and Matthew Blackmon. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the Southern Funeral Home (202 E Lafayette St, Winnfield, LA 71483). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Hurricane Creek Cemetery (4609 LA-505, Dodson, LA 71422-3252).
