He was predeceased by: his parents, Odon V. Cheramie and Mary "Mae" Gisclair Cheramie; his father-in-law Paul J. Curole, Sr.; his siblings, Autry J. Cheramie and Shirley C. Vasquez; and his brother-in-law Antoine "ToTo" Chauvin.
He is survived by: his wife Pauline Curole Cheramie; his mother-in-law Emma Jane Collins LeBlanc; his children, Danny J. Cheramie, Jr. and Dione Cheramie; his siblings, Harold Cheramie (Lee Anne), Rowena C. Chauvin and Verna C. Theriot; his siblings-in-law, Paul J. Curole, Jr. (Angela), Torri Curole and Tammy C. Finnie; and his grandchildren, Austin (Hunter Champagne), Cruise, Alexia, MayLynn (Noah Cheramie) and Blaize (Emma Pitre). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
As part of his final wishes donations to the Lafourche Animal Shelter, ASPCA, or other organization for the protection of animals is requested in lieu of flowers.
