She was predeceased by: her parents, James, Jr. Herrin and Mary Herrin; and her siblings, James Herrin, Johnnie Polk and Delores Stevenson.
She is survived by: her husband Alva Brooks of Glenmora; her children, Thomas Brooks (Patricia Annette) of Glenmora and Terri Elizabeth Ferguson (Ralph) of Glenmora; her granddaughter Audrey Brooks of Glenmora; her siblings-in-law, Ronald Brooks (Florence) of Alexandria, Bobbie Jean Meylian of Glenmora and Claudys Taylor of Glenmora; and her close friends, Mike and Patricia Koch of Alexandria.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Rush Funeral Home - Hineston (1885 LA-121, Hineston, LA 71438). A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
