He was predeceased by: his brothers, Donnie Morgan and Willie P. Morgan, Jr.; his son Randy Morgan; his brother-in-law Byron Stevens; his aunt Florine "Sis" Compton; and his uncles, Allen Compton (Peggy), Bill Compton and Bud Compton.
He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Morgan of Gilbert; his children, Walter Morgan, Jr. of Long County, GA, Taneka Davis of Winnsboro, LaCoya Jones (Dee) of Monroe, Jerrica Morgan (James Clark) of Hebert, Alisha Morgan (Phillip Jones) of Winnsboro and KaBria Temple (Justin) of Winnsboro; and his sisters, Linda Kimball (Kim) of Gilbert and Wilma Stevens of Winnsboro. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 26th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Harvest Christian Church (3515 LA-128, Gilbert, LA 71336). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 27th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, January 27th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Northeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery (2412 US-425, Rayville, LA 71269).
