It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ernestine Lowe of Gilbert, Louisiana, who passed away on April 26, 2021, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Perry and Jenny Perry; her spouse Claude R. Lowe; and her siblings, Shelton Perry, Julius Perry, Marvin Perry, Bessie P. Geoghegan, Lillie P. Lofton and Grace P. Bullen.
She is survived by: her children, Stephen R. Lowe (Robin) of Lafayette, Marcelette Lowe Thompson (Gene) of Winnsboro, Eugenia Ann Lowe Hitt (Jason) of Winnsboro and Rita B. Lowe Austin (Gary) of Winnsboro; and her grandchildren, Elle Frances McCoy of Winnsboro, Lancaster of Winnsboro, Penn of Winnsboro, Kaitlyn Forestier (Hunter) of Winnsboro, Madison Lowe of Winnsboro, Scott Thompson (Christin) of Winnsboro, Daniel Thompson (Jakki) of Winnsboro, Chris Austin (Brandi) of Winnsboro, Emily A. Huff (Kevin) of Winnsboro, Jeremy Austin of Winnsboro, Daniel Austin of Winnsboro, Carey Austin of Winnsboro, Sawyer Hitt of Winnsboro and Sassi H. Arnold (Trey) of Winnsboro. She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
