She was predeceased by: her husband William Hebert Johnson; her children, Michael James, Barry Lee Johnson and Gerry Lee Johnson; her grandsons, Farenti Johnson and Ricky Chavis; her great grandchild Ja'esha Johnson; her parents, Andrew Matthews and Ella Cross Matthews; her siblings, Joseph, Ferdinand, Robert, Andrew Matthews, Jr. and Edith M. Horry; her grandparents, George, Francis Taylor Matthews, Peyton and Nellie Cross; her parents-in-law, Earl, Sr. and Zenobia Hannibal Johnson; and her goddaughter Virginia Cross Nevarez.
She is survived by: her children, Hebert Johnson, Payton Johnson, Sr., Conis Johnson, Henry Johnson, Horace Johnson (Betty), Raynard Johnson, Gwendolyn Johnson, Zenobia Thomas (Henry), Zeboria Short (Glenn, Sr.) and Beverly Ann Ortiz (Anibal); her sister Doris M. Mitchell; her brother-in-law Earl Johnson, Jr. (Sandra); and her goddaughter Joann Trahan. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; one great-great grandson.
