He is survived by: his wife Barbara Crochet May of Gibson; his daughter Renee May Belanger of Gibson; his siblings, Jackie Montet of Amelia, Garry May (Linda) of Bayou L'Ourse, Harry May (Mary Jane) of Duson, Patricia Pasion (Winfred) of Hawaii, Veronica Bernadou (Henry) of Bayou Vista and Blanche LeBlanc of Baldwin; his granddaughters, Heather May and Candace Miller; and his great grandchildren, Jaden May, J'Shawn Anderson and Jayla Kimbrough. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
