He is survived by: his wife Ruth Johnson Short; his children, Frederick Short (Nakia), Ramona Adams (Claude, Jr.) and Shwanda Thibodaux (Ron); and his sister Dorothy Harvey. He is also survived by five grandchildren; two great grandchildren.
