It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Quentin Theo Ates (Georgetown, Louisiana), born in Urania, Louisiana, who passed away on May 12, 2019, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur William Ates and Iva Jameson; and his siblings, A. W. Ates, Artha Mae Stamper, Lilly Mae Ates and Quentis Bruce.

He is survived by: his wife Bobbye Ates; his children, James Darrell Ates (Tracey) of Winnfield, Karen Dawn Edwards (Larry) of Georgetown and Deidre Deneen Carter (Craig) of Pollock; his grandchildren, Christi Wyatt, Ryan Ates, Dustin Roberts, Brooke Fisher, Matt Roberts and Peyton Privett; and his great grandchildren, Marleigh, Kayleigh, Zoey, Landry Kate, Kelsey, Gannon and Jude.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be W.C. Holloway, Terry Maxwell, Tommy Hollis, Walter Albritton, and James Farris In lieu of flowers, the family requests.
