He was predeceased by: his parents, William Lonnie Nugent and Annie Belle Richmond Nugent; his brother Marvin Lane Nugent; his stepfather James "JimTom" Mayes; and his nephew Mark Brandon Nugent.
He is survived by: his wife Deborah Nugent; his children, William Chris Nugent, Deanna Dawn Hawkins (Tony) and Courtney Amber Nugent; his stepsons, Keith Allen Troutman (Sarah) and Kevin Andrew Troutman (Melinda); his grandchildren, Brooke Danielle Lincecum, Shai Destiny Johnson, Lacey Nicole Walker (Peyton) and Sadie Marie Hoadley; his stepgrandchildren, Morgan Troutman, Matthew Troutman, Madison Troutman, Mason Troutman, Isaac Troutman and Victoria Troutman; and his brothers, Paul Lonnie Nugent (Linda), Roy Gene Nugent (Vickie) and Ronnie Dale Nugent (Karen).
