He is survived by: his wife Margaret Riggs Hannegan; his sons, Tim Hannegan (Gay) of Georgetown and Paul Hannegan of Georgetown; his grandchildren, Jana Karinsy Todd Hannegan (Jamie) and Houston Hannegan; and his siblings-in-law, Judy Riggs Moody, Inez H Riggs and Eugene Rosier.
