It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Oscar Joseph Thiels (Gardner, Louisiana), who passed away on January 28, 2019, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Mike Thiels and Mary Vanlangendonck Thiels; and his brother John "Wimpy" Thiels. He is survived by: his wife Sandy Richey Thiels of Gardner; his children, Pam Thiels Belgard (Brad) of Gardner and Michael Thiels of Gardner; his grandchildren, Joshua, Joseph, Jacob Belgard, Lakin Thiels and Kyle Rodgers; and his siblings, Pat Thiels (Aliska) of San Martian, CA, Chinky Cook (Billy Wayne, Jo) of Pirates Cove, Julia Ann Sasser (Darrell) of Pirates Cove and Toledo Bend. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
