He was predeceased by: his parents, James Houston Wells and Bessie Miller Wells; his son David Wells; and his brothers, Joseph, Eldred and Aubrey Wells.
He is survived by: his wife Pauline Nickie Bernard Wells; his children, Chuck Wells (Karen), Nicole Wells (Terry), Lanie Bourg (Kent) and Marsha Wells; his grandchildren, Brad, Blake, Abram, Adler, Amris, Evan and Hunter; and his sister Mary Chaffin. He is also survived by 12 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center or the South Lafourche Quarterback Club.
