It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marie Louise Pinel Sassoni (Galliano, Louisiana), born in Bourg, Louisiana, who passed away on April 22, 2020, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband John Sassoni; her sons, John and Alton Sassoni; her grandchildren, Allen and Korik Sassoni; her parents, Joseph Pinel and Stevia Pinel; and her siblings, Lyle Pierece, Emma Thibodaux, Lawrence Pinel, Steve Pinel and Diane Mensor.
She is survived by: her children, Mike Sassoni (Marlene), Charles Sassoni and Barbara Chaisson (Gary); her grandchildren, Scott Sassoni (Cindy), Travis Sassoni (Kendra), Romanda Short (Randy), Sandy Ferguson (Dylan), Kenneth Chiasson (Mandy) and Rene Sassoni; her great grandchildren, Chad Rogers (Tina), Taylor Badeaux (Brach), Tanna, Lainey Sassoni, Tierney Meaux (Brett), Michael, Makenzie Short, Brendon, Madison Ferguson, Ricky Provechio, Luna Demere, Kenlin Kendon, Kennon Chiasson, Lucas and Emily Sassoni; her great great grandchildren, Ronnie, Laiken, Nathan Rogers, Zayne Badeaux and Carter Meaux; and her siblings, Harry Pinel, Gloria Bouzigard and Earline Knoblock.
