We bid farewell to Jeanette M. Dufrene of Galliano, Louisiana, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 30, 2025 at the age of 79. Jeanette touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jackson Melancon and Lorvenia Lee Melancon; and her siblings, Sylvia Melancon and Edless Melancon. She is survived by: her husband Calvin P. Dufrene, Jr.; her children, Chad Dufrene (Ginny), Tammy Eymard (Aubrey) and Sonja Dufrene; her grandchildren, Erin Eymard, Andy Eymard and Beth E. Vedros; her great grandchildren, Emmy Eymard, Bria Eymard, Ella Eymard, Aubrey Carver and Wyatt Vedros; and her brothers, Edward Bourgeois and Paul Bourgeois.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (15300 W Main St, Cut Off, LA 70345). A Mass was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 at 12:15 PM at the Cheramie Cemetery.
